The Swan Armchair by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen inspires with its iconic design. In 1958, designer Arne Jacobsen had the task of creating furniture for the lobby and lounge area of the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel. The result of the creation process was the Swan and the Egg – Two armchairs that are both true classics of design today.

In 1958, the Swan chair was a technological innovation and its design caused a sensation: The Swan has no straight lines but only curves. This gives it a graceful and friendly appearance.

The popularity and quality of the Swan armchair is also reflected in the fact that it is represented in various design museums around the world, including Kunstindustrimuseet in Copenhagen and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
