Amei planters are naturally beautiful and exceptionally robust. They are made of the technically sophisticated composite material Stonefiber – a mixture of polyester resin and ground stone, in which additionally inserted strands of fiberglass achieve a particularly high stability.
Shock-resistant and lightweight
On the one hand, the amei pots fascinate with their high-quality mineral look, which in the black models develops a natural, grey patina after a few months. On the other hand, Stonefiber is impact and frost resistant. The pots can therefore withstand minor falls, tipping over during storms and wintering outdoors generally unscathed. In direct comparison to stone or clay pots, they score with a significantly reduced weight due to the lower material thickness, which makes handling easier.
Both waterproof silicone inserts and matching saucers are available for the Der Kubische planter from amei.
Care instructions
We would like to point out that small marks on the surface, unevenness and a slight fading of the material are part of the natural and also intended characteristics of the Stonefiber material. All amei planters are individually handmade, so that such traces may occur due to the production process. However, these can be easily removed with a little household oil or shoe polish.
If you use the amei planters outside and they stand there unprotected in the rain, please make water drainage holes in the bottom of the pot with a drill and a standard masonry drill, otherwise there is a risk of root rot due to stagnant moisture collecting in the pot.
